Hi Everyone! My name is Priyadarshini Sharan. I grew up in India and did my medical schooling at one of the oldest medical colleges in Asia, Medical College of Calcutta (now called Kolkata).I learnt the language of the State, Bengali. I discovered my love for taking care of children during my internship year as I realized that I learnt so much from these tiny beings, they gave me so much warmth, wonder and absolute cheer. I came to the US and pursued my pediatric residency and chief residency from the Herman and Walter Samuelson Children’s hospital at Sinai . I stayed on another year as the Chief Resident and then started working at a primary care center in the heart of Baltimore city across from Johns Hopkins for 6 years. I was part time faculty for Johns Hopkins medical students here. I switched to emergency medicine and inpatient hospitalist medicine and did this for another 8 years taking care of some critically ill children at Frederick Health community hospital which was far away from tertiary health centers like Hopkins in Baltimore and Children’s National hospital in Washington DC. This was an intense and highly rewarding experience. I finally moved to Florida as my daughter moved to college here and I am back to Primary care where I started. I am looking forward to taking care of your children and to do as much as I can to help and support you to reach their utmost potential and live as healthy and fulfilling lives as possible. It is an honor to serve in the nurturing and building up of the next generation.

I live in Tampa with husband, my 2 daughters and my dog Luka. In my free time I love to read, keep learning, go on long walks and work out.
