Lauren Calhoun, DNP, APRN, CPNP-PC
Hi everyone! My name is Lauren Calhoun. I am a board certified primary care pediatric nurse practitioner. After growing up in Fort Lauderdale, I graduated from the University of Florida with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Upon graduating, I moved to Tampa where I began my career as a registered nurse in a level IV neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Although I absolutely loved working in the NICU for almost 6 years, I always knew I wanted to advance my education and become a pediatric nurse practitioner. I graduated with my Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Florida in 2022 with a specialty in pediatric primary care. In my spare time, I love spending time with my fiancé and our dog, Nike. I’ve also been riding horses for over 20 years and continue to do this every week. I’m scuba certified and love to travel! I’m incredibly passionate about working with kids, and I’m so excited to be a part of the Sunshine Pediatrics family. I can’t wait to meet you!
